Vintage French ironstone wall pocket pot - Vive La Liberte Sans Licence
A vintage French white ironstone salt cellar wall pocket, decorated on the face with polychrome laurel leaves and a roundel with the lettering ‘Vive La Liberte Sans Licence’ - ‘Long live Feeedom without Licences’. Produced by Saint Amand earthenware company to commemorate bicentennial of the French revolution, with the pattern originally used on faience pottery of the late 18thC.

Condition:
Glaze crazing, wear and age related marks. There is a small chip with a bruise hairline coming from it on the edge of the top of the wall mount, but this is not very large and does not overly detract or affect the hanging.
