Victorian Burgess’s Genuine Anchovy Paste ironstone pot

A Victorian white ironstone pot lid, decorated with striking black transfer for Burgess’s genuine anchovy paste.
A lovely piece of antique English advertising with a pictorial royal appointment warrant and pinstripe border, these pot lids are the earlier variety with the Queens crown on the warrant. Each pot is complete with a matched base.

Dimensions:
#1 - lid 8.5cm diameter, base 8.2cm diameter, 4.3cm tall
#2 - 8.7cm diameter, 4.7cm tall
Condition:
#1 - the lid has a small chip on the flange, otherwise it is quite clean with light staining and crazing. The base has a couple of chips on the rim, along with crazing and staining.
#2 - the lid is in very nice clean condition with no damage, the base has some old chips on the rim and shoulder, along with some crazing and staining.
