Winsor & Newton ironstone stacking paint palette
An early 20thC white ironstone artist paint palette, decorated on one side with the Griffin trade mark of artist material makers Winsor & Newton limited, London, England. Modelled with a dished side and pronounced foot, this pattern of palette was designed to be stacked with others of its type when not in use.
Dimensions:
6.1cm diameter
1.2cm thick
Condition:
There is a fine hairline in the dished side, but this does not travel through to the transfer side. Otherwise it is stained and crazed with a couple of tiny flea bites on the bottom rim, but still displays beautifully.
