Rare Victorian hot water jug - ironstone pitcher

A rare antique white ironstone hot water jug, modelled with a bulbous belly tapering to a circular rim, with an applied swan neck handle and decorated on the face with dimensional dotted black transfer ‘Hot-Water’ typography.
Produced by Ridgways, with their impressed 19thC mark in the underside of the foot.

Condition:
There is a fine hairline across the base of the handle, but it is still stable and does not overly detract when on display. Otherwise it is in lovely clean condition with minor age related wear.
