Edwardian Fortnum & Mason Potted Game white ironstone pot lid & base

A large Edwardian white ironstone pot lid and base, produced for Fortnum & Mason Limtd. and decorated with a beautiful black under glaze transfer for Potted Game.
A very attractive antique lid, the transfer utilises a variety of stylised typography, along with a double pinstripe border and the pictorial Royal Appointment Warrant to the King.

Condition:
The lid is in superb clean condition, with only a miniscule fleabite on the underside of the flange, otherwise it is perfect.
The base has a small chip on the inner rim, along with a small bruise line inside, but this cannot be seen when lidded. Otherwise it is very clean with light age related wear and marks.
