Moutarde Pikarome au Vinaigre fin pot - Digoin et Sarreguemines ironstone

An antique French ironstone mustard pot, produced for Moutarde Pikarome au Vinaigre fin, from the Dagousset Vinaigriers of France, since 1830.
Beautifully decorated on both sides and around the shoulder with colourful birds and floral accents, the bold typography for the contents on the face of the pot is highly stylised, with the obverse side showing the manufacturer advertising and establishment date. Originally it would have come with a notched ironstone lid, but this is not present.
Produced by Digoin et Sarreguemines, with their early 20thC black maker’s mark on the underside.

Condition:
Some light age related wear, along with a small firing glaze fault on the rim, but otherwise perfect with no damage.
