Antique white ironstone Metract pot

A antique white ironstone Metract pot, produced for “A nutritious & economical food”preparation intended for infants and invalids.
An attractive little pot, which slightly tapers and is quite finely potted in white ironstone. The face is decorated with a black under-glaze advertising transfer shield, which includes dimensional typography along with the maker’s info - Prepared by the Bristol & Dominions Producers Assn Ltd. Bristol.

4.4cm foot diameter

Condition:
There is a filled chip on the rim on the back side, with a hairline that emanates from it down into the body and back up to the rim. This is stable however, and the pot still displays nicely from the front.
Along with this is some age related glaze crazing and wear, along with a couple of small stain spots.
