Large vintage French stoneware cheese strainer

A large antique French stoneware cheese strainer, with pierced draining holes for whey to escape from pressed curds. A very decorative XL example in an attractive terracotta colour, it is impressed ‘7’ on the underside, likely denoting the size.

Condition:
There are some tiny nibbles to the glaze around the rim. Otherwise it is in superb condition with light age related wear and marks but no damage.
