Antique French Salmanazar brown glass bottle - XL 19thC wine bottle

A very large early 19thC French Salmanazar bottle, intended to hold 12 standard bottles of burgundy or champagne (9 litres).
A very attractive statement piece in lovely condition, it is blown in brown glass with an applied lip, kick up base and rounded pontil mark beneath the foot, along with the swirling twist marks in the neck where it was pulled during blowing.

Condition:
No damage but some surface wear scratches and marks, along with dull wear on one side where the bottle was stored in a rack for some time.
