Victorian white salt glaze jug with pewter lid - Blooming flowers pitcher

A charming Victorian white salt glaze earthenware jug, modelled with a tapering body, shallow pouring lip and elaborate relief decoration depicting blooming flowers. The decoration extends to the applied handle, where scrolling details include a moulded thumb notch to assist in pouring. The underside bears a Victorian embossed kite registration mark, and it is complete with the original pewter lid.

Condition:
The lid doesn’t open very well, but the jug is undamaged otherwise and displays beautifully.
