French Chien Méchant enamel plaque - beware of the dog

A small antique French enamel warning plaque, with bold black ‘Chien Méchant’ (Mean dog) typography on a white ground.

Condition:
Some chipping to the enamel around the left facing mounting hole and edge, along with some rusty coloured staining and age related wear marks. Otherwise nice condition with no damage to the typography.
