Victorian white ironstone ointment pot - Endle Chemist, Boscombe
A heavily crazed and stained antique white ironstone ointment pot, decorated on the face with a rare black under glaze transfer for Endle Chemist, Boscombe. An attractive transfer which utilises bold, dimensional lettering, it is a relatively large sized chemist pot with a notched foot, and is complete with the original notched plain white ironstone pot lid for display. The pot is marked beneath with the black stylised TooGood patent transfer, along with an impressed ‘3’ size mark.

Condition:
The pot is covered in age related crazing and rusty coloured staining, along with some chipping around the inner rim, these cannot be seen when lidded though.
There are also some small chips beneath the foot, and the lid also has a couple of small chips on a rim, along with a fine hairline in the edge and glaze crazing and stain marks.
