Antique Douglas Perfumer white ironstone pot lid and base

A Victorian white ironstone cosmetic pot lid, bearing a black under glaze advertising transfer for ‘Douglas, Perfumer, 21 & 23 New Bond St. London’. 
An attractive and scarce late 19thC lid, with the dimensional and stylised typography accompanied by a belted pinstripe border. Matched with an antique marbled white ironstone pot base for display.

Condition:
The lid has an old chip on the underside of the flange, along with a few more tiny flea bites around the underside, but these do not overly detract when on display. The lid has some crazing and stain lines, along with age related wear and marks, but is overall in nice condition otherwise. The base has crazing and wear but no damage.
