Antique Creme D’Amande pot lid & base - Boots Cash Chemists

A late Victorian/Edwardian white ironstone pot lid, fully decorated with a stylish black under glaze advertising transfer for Creme D’ Amande for shaving. Produced for Boots Cash Chemist, the lid showcases a variety of stylised typography, along with decorative scrolls and a fancy pinstripe and interlocking C border.
Matched with lovely white ironstone dished pot base with a rounded belly, which fits quite nicely for display.

Condition:
The lid has a small shallow scrape on the edge of the rim, along with a small forked bruise hairline on the flange, but neither of these overly detract. Otherwise it is in nice condition with some minor glaze crazing, stain spots and light age related wear.
The matched base has a small chip on the rim which cannot be seen when lidded, along with some crazing, marks and staining commensurate with age.
