Antique Calvert’s Carbolic Tooth Paste white ironstone pot

An Edwardian white ironstone toothpaste pot lid, beautifully decorated with a black underglaze transfer for Calvert’s Carbolic Tooth Paste. A small size pot lid and base that was priced at Sixpence, the bold arched typography is bordered by a repeating floral motif in double pinstripes, along with the company’s arrow trademark roundel in the middle.

Condition:
There are some old chips around the edge of the flange, with one large one, some smaller and further flea bites. The top surface is quite clean and displays nicely, with a tiny nibble and light wear on the rim but otherwise looks very good. The base has crazing and staining, along with some firing and wear marks but no damage.
