Antique ironstone Tapioca storage jar

A rare Victorian white ironstone Tapioca kitchen storage jar, modelled in a cylinder shape with a moulded rim and fine bold black typography. The underside bears the maker’s mark for the Empire Works Co. of Stoke on Trent.
Complete with a matched white ironstone lid for display, this is not original but included and sits in the pot well, otherwise the pot displays very nicely without it and is great for utensils or cutlery.

Condition:
There is a bruise on the rim of the pot with some slight staining emanating from it. There are a couple of tiny flea bites around the back side of the foot, along with some staining, glaze crazing and light wear. The matched lid has some glaze crazing and wear.
