Antique ironstone Seager’s Home Made Potted Meat pot - Ipswich

An antique white ironstone potted meat pot, decorated with a black under glaze advertising transfer for Seager’s Home Made Potted Meat, Ipswich. An attractive early example with the typography bordered by scrolling banners.

Condition:
Staining and crazing inside and rusty staining on the edges and foot, particularly to the right facing side of the transfer. The underside of the foot has a surface scrape and small bruise next to the largest stain spot, but this does not overly detract. Otherwise it displays nicely and does not have any other damage.
