Antique Belgian Jemappes stoneware bottle - champagne top ginger beer
A large antique Belgian ‘Gaulish’ beer bottle, made of stoneware by Stife (Lambeth, London) in the champagne bottle form with a threaded stopper. The face of the bottle is decorated with a lovely pictorial black transfer for Jemappes
Dimensions:
27.2cm tall with stopper
9.3cm body diameter
Condition:
The bottle is in perfect condition with manufacturing firing marks and light age related wear. The stopper has a small scrape on the bottom of the unglazed screw thread, but this is inside and otherwise looks perfect, also with some firing imperfections in the glaze.
