Antique John Gosnell cherry tooth paste lid & base

An antique advertising pot lid, made of white ironstone pottery and decorated with a full pictorial transfer for Cherry Tooth Paste from John Gosnell & Co. London. A nicely coloured example of this lid with a crisp, dark strike of the transfer. Matched with an original base for display.

Condition:
There is a small chip on the flange, otherwise the lid is in nice condition with light wear. The base has some crazing and staining, along with some nibbling around the shoulder of the pot.
