'Couleurs Paris' paint enamel sign
A diminutive French trademark enamel plaque, provided to early 20thC stockists of paint from 'Couleurs Marque Déposée Paris'.
A significantly scarce and highly decorative little enamel sign in a punchy black and white colourway, the middle is decorated with a fantastic detailed pictorial of the company's castellated crown trade mark. This is flanked above and below with bold shadowed typography, along with the enamel manufacturers name in the bottom right corner - 'Email Ed. JEAN. Paris'.
15.2cm x 10.2cm (6" x 4")
Some rusting, but it is currently in 'as found' condition and most of the surface stain on the top left could be cleaned away easily if desired. Otherwise very good with minor nibbling on the corner but no significant chips.
