Antique ironstone LARD slab Parnall
A small circular white ironstone grocers slab, decorated along the front edge with a very scarcely seen under-glaze transfer for 'Lard'. Produced in a lovely small size with a slight chamfer to the edge, the underside of the slab is marked with the trapezoid advertising transfer for Parnall & Sons Ltd.

A large chip on the rim above the 'A' has been professionally restored. Otherwise the slab has some glaze crazing, fat staining and firing marks.
An incredibly rare single word slab, in a diminutive size with a lovely maker's mark beneath... essential for any serious collection.
